Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

I doubt it. Or, maybe it will be fast for one run. If it's mounted up front like that, and as low as it is, it has to be on the strut towers or (eek) directly to the body. There's just nowhere to put an engine that heavy an that torquey in that car.

Years and years ago, T&HTP published an article about an old hatchback civic that had a 3.0L from an Acura Legend mounted in the hatch area. Essentially making it a mid-engine, transverse-mount, rear-wheel-drive car (uh, like a MR2, I guess; not like a Lambo).

Also, it looks like the car has been back-halved, so it's got enormous tires out back and probably a live axle. So the engine has no room to give in the driveline or mounts (wtf kind of tranny did they stick in there? the car isn't long enough for a TH400!!), and all that torque is going to rip the fucker in half on the first pull.

I'd really like to see video of it moving. But I'm not sure "fast" is the right description. Maybe "dangerous" or "autobifurcating."
