I just hope Nissan doesn't continue their trend of porker sports cars. the Z is fast but way to heavy. the GTR is a beast but weighs 4000lbs. time to crib some notes from the Colin Chapman playbook, Nissan.

Nissan can build some engines. Nissan can build some drivetrains. If they could just re-learn to build a lightweight body.

Re: 240SX Succesor
Mercedes actually did this a year ago... the post is somewhere, I know it is! They used variable compression and variable vain turbo's to build an engine that could operate as a gas engine or a diesel engine. Gerr, can't find the post, but here is one of the writeups!complacent wrote:Variable compression, eh??? Sounds eeeeeeenteresting...

Yes, 200lbs lighter for the new 370Z and the name always denotes the displacement of the engine: 370Z LINKYboomee wrote:Mr Kleen wrote:I just hope Nissan doesn't continue their trend of porker sports cars. the Z is fast but way to heavy. the GTR is a beast but weighs 4000lbs. time to crib some notes from the Colin Chapman playbook, Nissan.
