Yeah, I will have to agree w/ Gabe. I actually think Ross's STi and Colin's STIs look a lot better. The carbon fibre is nice to have for the weight reduction but the look clashes w/ the black paint. Just my opinion...and yes, if somebody gave me it, I would pimp it.

Yes, Chuck was racing a Ferrari Enzo the other night when out of nowhere a flock of sheep decided to cross the street. Chuck swerved to miss them and took out a telephone pole. The STi was totaled but luckily Chuck was just in the passenger seat...it was the mysterious German man that was driving.

There was a story about some fantastically light S2000 developed by the designer of Gran Turismo (the PSX game). You know, swiss-cheesed suspension members, carbon fibre, and so on. However, the car was painted white instead of the usual graphite-weave. The article stated that in Japan, leaving the CF unpainted is viewed as tacky. Personally, I'm with them. That trunk is just... iiiiiick without paint on it.

And as for front-mount intercoolers, I really don't think there's a big need for them. You can get thicker cores for the top mount, which have less volume than those massive front mounts (which, admittedly, look good). Less volume means less lag. And while your car may look awesome while it's 1.5 car lengths behind the guy with a top-mount, that doesn't count for much.

The front aero parts are pretty good, although the canards could be a little more aggressive, the mirrors a little smaller. The side skirts could be a little lower, and he definitely needs ducting around the rear wheels if he's going for downforce (he's obviously not going for top speed, unless he swapped trannies). He's also missing that splitter over the rear window (this is an 06 feature, right?). At any rate, this can add a lot of downforce in conjunction with the rear wing. Which, in his case, is the stock wing. It helps, but it could be a lot better.

And I don't see a diffuser under that front splitter. That car could be loads faster on a road course if he made it functional not pretty. I guess for a show car, it's pretty. But those ugly-ass (but mean as sharks with frickin lazerbeams) Evos at road race events would eat it for lunch.

You are correct in the fact that FMIC causes some lag but if you want big power, you have to go front mount  a TMIC is good to about ~20PSI.
Also, FMIC is good that you don't get heat soak. Lag doesn't mean much once the power kicks in. Sure the guy w/ the TMIC is 1.5 car lengths back off the light for about 2 seconds but then the FMIC guy's turbo spools up and jumps about a football field length ahead. But of course you have many variables: power, aerodynamics, weight, traction, tranny, etc...

I haven't even talked to them this week. I'll give them a call some time tomorrow.
