glad I saw this before I tore into the project... guess I'll have to sell (give away?) my rear carbotech pads and get some for an 03.

why the hell can't Subaru leave anything alone for more than 2 damn years? :x

Seriously though, I can relate. What the heck was wrong with a 5 x 100 bolt pattern, eh?

Subaru overall IMHO is still a pretty "lego" oriented platform company. You can still fit just about everything from one model into another.

There are just little "details" that get changed... Like rear brake pads.

I thought you knew you would need new pads for the upgrade...and shouldn't you always put new pads on w/ new rotors for a fresh start?

I wasn't going to put on new pads, the Carbotec pads have less than 2000 miles on them. was just planning on going through the bedding procedure again.

I may just put on stock 03 pads as the H6 upgrade will shift some braking bias to the rear anyway. hmmm will have to sleep on this...

Do you have stock front brakes?

for the time being. I'm contemplating upgrading to a set of Subaru 4 pots in the front, maybe pairing that with a set of Power Slot Plus rotors. that should satisfy my needs for the foreseeable future.
