E-7 patrol car with 425 ft/lb courtesy of BMW

Carbon Motors is making a new pursuit car made of aluminum and powered by BMW's X5 3 liter turbo diesel I-6. Giving the E7 a COMBINED fuel economy of 28+ mpg, 150+ mph top speed, and 0-60 in 6.5 sec. performance.
from AutoWeek
Unless law enforcement practices have changed, helf of the engine's running time will be at idle, how is that going to fit into the fuel economy? Or are they going to start and stop the engines like the UPS man?
Either way.
HOT! :hitit:
Maybe 10 years from now you could start picking these up for cheap. I would make it my chubby car.
Patience is the ability to idle your motor when you feel like stripping your gears

:plusone: The would make a very nice DD :)

Am I the only one who thinks that police departments should be mandated to use the same car throughout the entire country (like it was in the olden years)? It would cut costs significantly (and make them easier to spot, I admit, haha).

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.
