nail= slammed the on its head. with the amount of $$$$Jupiter it takes just for the patent research before filing... the whole thing is ed. And it makes me sad. Little guy doesn't have a stinking chance without the complete backing of VC now. It's. Just. ed.

Recent reports claim that Microsoft has patented the concept behind the "sudo" command line tool. A closer look at the patent in question tells a very different story.

i'll have to go read the actual patent. usually i've had pretty good luck with groklaw doing some basic groundwork, but ...

regardless, it still doesn't sound like any original thought that justifies a patent. sickening.
