I built a super high speed storage solution around one of their older products a couple years back... I think that one was a 2U that held a dozen or so drives. Stoopid fast. :) And pretty solid. Had more problems with the server the FC was attached to than the array itself.

Ah, so this is (kind of) is what you ended up using for that! We were looking at the Sun Thumper(mentioned above) for awhile for a project, but ended up doing some other things. We might require one of these for testing purposes though, haha.
