IPCop

Had a conversation with a certain individual about this a while back and I was just wondering if anyone here had heard about or used it before. For those who don't know, it's basically a Linux firewall distro.

Yep, I've used it before (lol, go figure). It's pretty decent. Along these lines, I've also used M0n0Wall which is FreeBSD based. Both are great firewalls and support everything you can get in a dedicated firewall box and sometimes more. I ran an old PC for a LONG time with FreeBSD using IPFW/Snort/etc. and was very happy with it. That PC had a 200W power supply and a fan. Now'a'days I run a NetGear N router with some customizations on it that has a power brick (50W IIRC) and no fan. Quieter and makes my wallet happier when the electric bill comes.

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.
