Odd that they would keep the 40GB version and up the 80GB one. I would think they would go to a 80/160 SKU set. I'd still like one at some point :)

Well even if they do get rid of the 80GB version it's supposed to be fairly easy to swap out the HD in those things without voiding the warranty. Just so long as they keep the backwards compatibility I still get one.

Has anyone managed to keep track (or have a website) of which models are backwards compatible? I know they dropped it from some, but not all...
