2008 NASA HPDE Schedule

Post by WRXWagon2112 »

Here's the schedule for HPDEs (high-performance driving events) for this year.

Date Track
Feb 22 - 24 VIRginia International Raceway - 3 Hour Enduro (Sunday) & Sprints (Full Course)
March 28- 30 VIRginia International Raceway (Full Course)
May 3 - 4 Carolina Motorsports Park (Full Course)
June 21 - 22 Summit Point Raceway (HyperFest 08 )
July 25 - 27 VIRginia International Raceway (Full Course)
Aug. 23 - 24 Summit Point Raceway (Main Course)
Sept. 9 - 16 Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (NASA Nationals)
Oct. 11 - 12 Summit Point Raceway (Main Course)

Registration is already open for the February event. We can start to pull some of these out of this section and into the DCAWD Events section if anyone wants to take a group out to one of these events.

I've never been to VIR so I don't know how far away/close it is - not sure if it's a viable option for most of us. But I went to Summit Point last year and it's definitely do-able.

Ideas? Suggestions? Any requests for particular dates?

VIR is mostly in North Carolina for all practical purposes. Long haul to get there. My home house is about half way there, so with enough notice, we could use it as a crash/staging point.
Patience is the ability to idle your motor when you feel like stripping your gears

Let's get some chatter going about this.

I won't be able to make the August dates at Summit Point due to family vacation. So I vote for either the October or June dates (or both) at Summit Point. The June dates might be better as it coincides with HyperFest (even if it'll be hotter than hell).

Thoughts?
