Some of the water effects are amazing! Should be a good game

Sabre (Julian)

92.5% Stock 04 STI
Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

you won't regret it!
for those of you who haven't downloaded it yet. it plays out exactly like you'd expect. very good physics. a variety of locales. reaistic damage... but there are some thing that set this above any other racing game (rally or other) I have ever played.
The amount of little details they put can be summed up as.. awesome! For example I was driving an STi via "helmet cam" (its like interior cam but even better. A the name implies it's basically what someone would see from their helmet including arms. adds more realism in my opinion) around a super-special against Colin. I took a jump too fast and landed..hard.. I never played a racing game where the cars actually felt.. "heavy". Usually the cars have "mass" but not real "weight" if you know what i mean. anyways after such a heavy impact i temporarily lost control and slammed into a wall. I expected to hit the wall and see a pre-scripted damage model activate as I bounced off. Instead the metal of the wall bent inwards as my hood creased up the middle. Fenders were loosened and my front bumper made a sickening cracking sound as it caved inward revealing some of the underlying frame. I backed up and after a quick engine restart I was off again with ony minor damage to my cooling system.
I have no complaints about the game at all really. I mean the impreza is a BIT odd inside. the hazard button is too thin and the vents are too big.. the window controls are too high... but all that is forgivable considering they put tons of details into the exteriors. From the HID projectors to the gold brembos the cars are detailed meticulously. (btw these are the Rally USA STi spec C imprezas that still have the TMIC) .. not sure if the WRC ones will show up or not. The only other gripe I have is no co-driver in this demo. However I am certain it WILL be in the full game so it's only a minor complaint for now.
Anyways I'm going to play some more. Even though you only get 3 cars (STi, Evo IX, and Ickler Jimco Buggy) and only one track per car (German tarmac super special for the rex, USA drit for for the other two) it's still quite re-playable
I might add. This is possibly first on my list of games to buy. This excites me more than forza 2 even.
