How much of a drop are the Cobbs? Pinks were VERY popular when the STI first came out.

Of course it's an 02 and it's a wagon there are some differences.
As I recall, Matt (Thermobox) has STI pink springs on his 04 STi. It looks just about perfect IMHO.
Just curious but are the WRX STi Pink struts plagued by the same clunking issues as the stock WRX STi struts?

^^^ Those issue's can be easily solved by lubing them up at every oil change

i'm looking to go stiffer but not *quite* as low. everything i've read on the pinks basically says they'll perform about the same on flat ground and over small bumps but they will absorb large bumps and potholes much more smoothly than the cobbs. that's really the only area i'm looking for improvement in, because on smooth pavement the cobbs are perfect. and in the twisties... OH MY!
with that said, i'm thinking about pinks and perhaps eventually getting rce camber plates to even out a bit of that wheel gap.

Not sure if the "lol" was serious or not.
Over time the grease on the inverted strut tube may dry out and cause sticking which may cause some clunking noise. This happens because the strut is not traveling enough to stay properly lubed. You can fix it by either driving the car hard or by jacking the car up and down a few times.
i've also read that jacking up the rear and leaving it suspended for 30 mins to an hour once a month also serves as a temp. fix in conjunction with a bit of silicone grease if necessary.

I was just playing Most people I know with STI's drive them hard enough that it isn't a problem... My car is my commuter too, so it see's a lot of miles between hard drives. Right now I'm at 77k on the odo.
