Big post and some REAL scary html...

alright so i've been asked to work on this one guilds website from WoW... it thought.. ok quick html job, nothing too complex, should be done by this afternoon and it'll be looking sexy.

that was until i saw the html... see..about 6 people have access to the page on a super-admin level. and none of them really know html. yet all 6 insist on constantly updating it themselves. the resulting code is nothing short of a nightmare. it's disorganized, chaotic, varied, and generally the biggest nightmare i've ever had to sort out.

if you read that... the further into it you go the more you want to just die...

for those of you who dont feel liek wasting all that time reading...ill highlight a few problems...

->the random and needless use of 
->setting of and then immeadiately throwing in for no reason whatsoever
->setting of fonts without using them
->absolutely no structure
->all those times they set the font to black.. the STYLE SHEET says the font is black. they were overriding it with black... why?

AAARGH... you have no idea how long it took me to sort that out. halfway through i just deleted everything and looked at the result and just hand programmed from there

Ah yes, I remember those days... I bet anything that they used a "editor" for it and it just became a bigger and bigger nightmare every time.
