Ya, next weekend we could do an install day on Monday or something :) How much of a drop are you going to get with these? You'll probably need an alignment afterward and the camber bolts (and plates) will certainly help with that.

i had figured on scheduling an alignment about a week after i dropped it. and probably getting some of the camber bolts too...to give you an idea of what is possible w/ the springs:

labor day...i might be able to be in on it that day...my big problem is work these days...i'm working in nova now, and it seems they are taking officers for trips, which leaves lots of ot to be had by those left behind...ie:me...so i'm picking up what i can...

I couldn't remember, what year is your ride? If you're an 04 or newer, you might have some issues with the KYB struts. IIRC, the shaft diameter is slightly different from 02-03 to 04+. If you've got a bugeye, you're in for a schweet ride 8)

Glad to hear you've already got the alignment in the works :) I *might* be able to do some of the work on Sunday, but I have an engagement party to go to that night.

BTW, do you have spring compressors?

spring compressors and an air compressor! you'll need an air gun to get the springs off the struts and to reassemble them. if you're replacing both you'll just need to assemble the new struts and springs, but you'll still need to same tools.

You don't need an air gun... I use my gear ratchet with an allen key and it works just fine :)

Ben's spring compressors are in my tool box in old town.

well, i have none of said tools.

and julian, as far as an sunday install...sat night the godsmack/robzombie/shinedown concert at nissan. which translates into late drinking...to be followed up by a housewarming party at my friend's place on sun...which will also involve more drinking...

this being said, labor day monday is still the best for me. otherwise, another data would have to be planned.

Some kits require you to cut them, not sure about yours :(

ok, a little reading on the other site, and i found i can just reuse the original bumpstops...and a f ew other things too...
and julian, it wasn't a kit that i ended up buying...mix and match of new pieces more or less...the struts didn't include anything but the adjusting screwdriver and a sticker.
