Alright.... that's it.
My friends. Find me an STi. I'm keeping an eye on NASIOC but if you have any other connections feel free to use them.
I know i don't need an STi... but do any of you STi owners really need them either?.. Life is too short and a few years down the road when i get myself into a serious relationship and buy a house and (not so soon hopefully) have kids.. an STi wont be an option.. why not enjoy life? I've traveled the world, driven tanks, camped out on aircraft carriers, met some amazing people.... i'm enjoying my time i have on this planet and i'm not going to make the mistake so many people make of "waiting" and then never doing anything.
anyways what i want is an either 04 or 05 model STi.. mileage doesnt matter as long as it's not excessive. Car doesn't have to be mint condition... would prefer a few SMALL mods. nothing really top shelf race tuned uber-STi... TMIC or FMIC (top perefered due to it most likely being cheaper)... as far as money goes im trying to keep this in the low $20k range.

almost forgot
the STi with the blown engine is tempting.... i was kinda in a hurry but i coudlnt find the thread on the site. i'll look again i guess lol
what worries me is.. that engine blew for a reason.. perhaps all those mods are to blame...if a new STi engine would only run me $5000 it is definetly a possibility though...
theres a bloke on NASIOC selling his modded JBP O5 STi with 14k miles for $27,000.. it's not an unreasonalbe price to ask i know, but im looking for cheaper.. i dont want a show STi... just a running one that gooes "Vroom.. SSS... Vroooom... SSS....". it doesnt have to be immaculate with 18 layers of wax and a $9000 stero system

I can't imagine CarMax selling a modded car. They likely would not buy back a car with modifications so you're pretty safe shopping there. Of course the question becomes "What mods used to be on the car before it was sold to CarMax?". And therefore, how badly was it flogged before the prior owner got rid of it?

Yeah, I would not like to buy the car that I turned back to stock down in Woodbridge.
How would you feel about swapping this guys car parts into yours? You could have 75% of an STi for 25% of the cost! Plus, your insurance would be a lot less.

I'd buy a Cobb engine if I were to rebuild that STI
My insurance comes out to $227/mo with one accident on it. 29 (almost 30), own a house and am single.
