Latest Geminoid Is Incredibly Realistic

Post by Sabre »

IEEE
Okay, I admit it... I found myself wondering whether this was in fact a real robot, or actually a person pretending to be a robot or even a fake robot.
It's not a fake. This is the latest iteration of Geminoid series of ultra-realistic androids, from Kokoro and Hiroshi Ishiguro. Specifically, this is Geminoid DK (actually a Geminoid Model-F), which was constructed to look exactly like Associate Professor Henrik Scharfe of Aalborg University in Denmark.

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

 They should leave the skin off. It's much cooler that way! It looks like he just stuck his head out the window going 1000mph

I suppose they do it so that the robot will be accepted more broadly by us meat sacks.

That's still in the uncanny valley for me, though admittedly it's probably starting to climb out the other side.
All my cars have drum brakes and are sub 200 hp, what am I doing with my life?
