Still need to order sprockets and chain. Just realized that I don't know a blessed thing about either and there are a lot of choices out there. Do I try to get fancy with something aftermarket or just stick with OEM parts.

sprocketcenter.com is a good place to start, as well as svrider.com.
For teh nekkids, it is a 44/15 combo. I think.

Well I'm getting started tonight/tomorrow morning. Gotta make some room in teh garage first so I can maneuver bikes/tools/stands/etc around.
If anyone is interested in swinging by let me know.
We can figure out the tool cost later on. I'm not terribly concerned about it, as it's one of those tools worth having around.

At least I'm not the only one who's procrastinated on parts shipping. (I was still trying to decide on a chain/ sprocket combo [decided I'm sticking with stock since I'm not looking for an acceleration boost {HELLO ONEIDA!!}]). I'll swing in tomorrow morning to help out and get some eyes on the process so once the Parts Fairy visits again I'm not going in completely blind.

are you guys able to beat this price:

?
i've got it configured with the DID 520 in gold (bling, baby) and the stealth black sprockets. It's about $250, and I haven't been able to find anyone selling it any cheaper.
