Hey all,
Wondering if anyone has any info on a reliable VPN service with decently dialated tubes. I don't have the ability to use any sort of tunnel through work and I'm going to have some needs coming up to be able to do much business related web stuffs from anywhere. I'm thinking it's time to toss the laptops and iToys onto a VPN.
Lack of significant slowdowns and a decent price point would be ideal. Anything come to mind?
Subscription VPN service?

TUAW had an article about Wi-Fi snooping that mentioned a few options. I haven't tried any as I don't really use open Wi-Fi hotspots. keep me posted.

Hmmm...thanks Gabe. Hadn't seen witopia before. I'm looking at their site now and am pretty impressed with what they've got. Nice price point too.
If anyone has any other suggestions I'd love to hear them.

Re: Subscription VPN service?
So desperately wish I could do this. Lack a few things though:
1. An extra box
2. More Linux knowledge than a loaf of bread
Business needs are starting to dictate the need for things to simply "just work" as well. My time available to geek is at a premium and while I'd love to have something like this up and running, I just cant take the time to figure it all out. Right now my ideal is a VPN service for secure webz and then I'll probably get set up with logmein so I can hit my boxes at home if I need to. If I need a file, the home box can dump the file to my dropbox, and then I can get it on the other device.
It's not free and and it does squat for my geek cred, but it's set up by people who know infinitely more about what I'm trying to do than I do.
Gabe, I signed up with witopia this morning. I'll let you know how it's going in a few days after I've had the time to push them a bit.

Will do. Gimme a bit to put it through it's paces and such an I'll toss a reply in this thread so the alerts go out.
Setup, at least, was a breeze...once I finally found the instructions. I'm dropping the software on a windows box tonight so I'll have something to say about that too. Nice people in support as well. Had a couple sales related questions and they were handled quickly and nicely. Their offices are in Reston on Plaza America Drive. Funny to me because I've worked for 2 companies on Plaza America Drive.
