Intel’s Xeon 7500-Series

Post by Sabre »

Review
Specs
Overview

I hadn't heard much about the 7500 series. I knew the 5500 series was an absolute beast from some projects that I played with a couple on, so this thing is going to be nuts. Looks like it is the final nail in the coffin for Itanium too.

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

Is this two quad cores on one socket backing or 8 cores on one solid die?
All my cars have drum brakes and are sub 200 hp, what am I doing with my life?

I wouldn't have guessed that x86 would encroach upon itanium this quickly. Pretty impressive.

Nope, from what I understand, this is a true 8 core.
