Wow, M$ is on a roll lately....It's not easy being Steve Ballmer. The Microsoft CEO was asked for the umpteenth time Tuesday if his company will ever be number one in search.
"There's no good answer to this question. If you say yes you seem like you're arrogant and if you say no it looks like you have no faith. So the answer is yes, someday," Ballmer said.

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

Well having used the best google can do with smartphones (IMO not all that great) I'm interested in what they can do with windows mobile 7. Good luck MS.
All my cars have drum brakes and are sub 200 hp, what am I doing with my life?

Compared to what with MS?Raven wrote:Well having used the best google can do with smartphones ...[sic]
For argument's sake, google hasn't been in the mobile OS business anywhere near as long as the good folks at MS have. IIRC, things like capacitive touch displays weren't possible for any MS-based mobile OS until either late last year, or first part of this year (6.5.3 IIRC) and as it stands mobile 7 isn't an existing product.
Directly comparing the two OSes (android and phone 7) they appear to be targeting vastly different goals. One is going to be able to do much more than the other.
I'm sure many of us have suffered through many versions since CE and are more than a little gunshy about their (MS) "promises" - while I do remain hopeful.
Skeptical tech pundit is skeptical.
And of course, Android is free. MS will be charging for developer access to their new mobile OS.
