Google navigation will come to iPhone, if Apple approves

Post by Sabre »

"Apple is a close partner," a Google spokesperson told AppleInsider Wednesday. "Millions of users experience Google Maps on the iPhone. We will continue to work with Apple to bring innovation, including Latitude and Navigation, to users but you'll have to speak to Apple about availability."
Please Apple, get the hair out of you ass and let us have this officially!

What right/business/reason does the Govt have to do that? Have they ever forced Microsoft to release Office for Linux? Entourage for FreeBSD? Internet Explorer for Palm OS?

Its one thing when you have a phone company restricting the ability for users to communicate (the Google Voice scenario), but this is very different.

(I know, you're not saying they should, I'm just cutting that thought process off at the pass)
