OK, one of the following cars I actually did spot and "followed" it for all of 10 milliseconds. The other was seen in the local mall on display. You decide which was which.
Image - except it was white.

Image - pretty much like you see it here, just under a huge glass cage so that you could not touch.

I saw a silver and black R8, a silver DB9 and a light blue 1960something Ferrari on the toll road on the way back from Summit Point on Saturday afternoon. almost made it worth the tolls. almost.

OK, so on the way back from the site today, traffic was light, and I got to look around without fearing for my life in the Round About hell that is Doha. I was so happy that I did.

Rear view showed a nice SLK driven by a nicer blond. Then cut two lanes and passed on the right shoulder. Quite common.
A few minutes later, I was passed by a silver AMG 63, oh but wait, it was also BLACK. Quite cool.
Some Bently monstrosity,
A white R8, then a silver one, then a red one. I like the red the best.
Tomorrow I will walk to the Ferrari/Lamborghini/Audi/Aston Martin dealerships.

Then I saw the best thing of the night (but was wrong). Walking back from dinner through a big market parking lot when I saw what looked like a Porsche Cayenne, but didn't ahve a Porsche badge on it. Walked a little closer, and saw "Gemballa", then BITURBO. The hair on my arms stood up. Walked around the side and it said GT 550 on the lower door bevel. A real 6 second SUV, live and in person. Seeing it in the flesh made it seem not so stupid anymore. I turned around and started to jog to catch up with my co-workers. This is where I tripped on one of the million ankle busting rocks in this damned place.

I got up, had to listen to the guys laughing at me, making fun of me b/c I couldn't hold my beer... froze stone solid.

Gemballa GT 750 Biturbo. 20 feet from where I biffed it.
Had I not have gone down, I may not have seen it. Sitting there in white like a ghost reflecting the starlight and the glow coming from the shops. I had never once wished I had a camera as strongly as I had tonight. HAWT.

I had just seen what I saw,

Nope. All real. Didn't have a camera last night, but here are some from the day before.

I didn't see under the hood but it had the full body kit, badges and nice (but not oversized) wheels. I'd be willing to bet it was the real deal.

I think I might have just seen this car off the tollroad this morning. Very nice looking.

Posting this up for Alvin from his Caribbean cruise. Sort of bending the rules since this isn't on the continental US.. but still cool nonetheless.

Sweet spot. I saw a bazillion of these in Thailand but they were all Cedias dressed up to look like evos. It's cool to see them still on the road.

On the beltway yesterday whilst driving home, I spotted a Ferrari 575M SuperAmerica trying to get out of 2nd gear. This was at the River Road on-ramp of the inner loop. At 5pm. 4.5 lanes of stopped traffic. What a waste!
