DCAWD Meet Wednesday 10/21/09 - Hard Times

Post by Sabre »

Hello all,
The next meeting of DC All Wheel Drive will be on Wednesday, 10/21/09 at 7:15pm. We will be meeting outside for a little while, then going inside to grab some grub! While we are outside, please stay out of the right of ways. No standing in the road and such, just stay in between or in front of the cars :) If hoods open, only leave them open long enough to do your business.

Hard Times is located at:
6362 Springfield Plaza
Springfield, Virginia 22150

Link of map: here

Most up to date information found in our forum here.

Let me know if you are coming so that we can try to keep an accurate count.

Note: This is an AWD, we meet no matter what Mother Nature throws at us! Even if you do not have a AWD car, feel free to come!

Your idea of "bad" is my idea of "good", if you mean lots of snow. If you mean ice, then we are in agreement.

I'd like to, I'd love to, I'd think the world of to... but I can't. Instead I'll be learning the difference between POST, BIOS, and CMOS.

Power-on self-test (POST) is the first part of bootstrapping. It uses the Basic Input Output System (BIOS) to start the various parts of your system. The BIOS is stored in a Complementary Metal–Oxide–Semiconductor (CMOS - had to look that bitch up, haha). Hence some people say they fried their CMOS, even though all they did was flash is with a bad BIOS. Now get your ass to the meet ;)

Sorry, saw the bold and figured you were not coming because you didn't know... So that invalidates your excuse and we'll see you on Wednesday then ;)

Also, you won't see me on Wednesday. Because someone will be teaching at me that equations are the devil's sentences. :)

Code: Select all

x-2y=-2
6x-12y=0
Solve for x and y
x-> :finger: <- y

Do they take attendance?!?!? ;)

1a.) x=-2+2y
1b.) y=(2+x)/2
2a.) x=2y
2b.) y=x/2

I'll leave it here since the rest is just substitution :)
:nana: :rolllaugh:

Edit: Just tried it out... You sure you typed those equations right?
