Verizon snubbs IPv6 in a big, ugly way

Post by complacent »

Slashdot linky here.

Basically the big V is (in at least this situation) outright refusing to advertise to a large portion of the available networks.
Specifically, they are completely blocking all of ARIN’s 2620:0::/23, so even by following their policies they’re still providing an incomplete view of the internet. It is their position that this is “correct”:
supermegaultrafail. i really hope Verizon squares this. it will not help the adoption of IPv6 if they do not.

Very uncool... Hopefully someone more powerful (Gov or ICANN) steps up and corrects their... misunderstanding...

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.
