So it looks like there is a new connection technology on the horizon, it's called Light Peak.
With a reported 10gbps throughput initially and a spec-driven maximum of 100gbps throughput... it's an ambitious idea to say the least. I'm very interested to see what's going to happen with this tech. it's got some really cool possibilities.
