Well, this certainly seems to be a bad idea.

I hope there will be more information regarding this mess. I don't want to jump the gun and call Palm stupid and evil... but this don't quite look right.

EDIT: After reading this page I'm less inclined to think this is a good thing.

the crash reports are cool, but app usage and GPS LOCATION?!?!? WTF!
i sure hope my iPhone isn't doing anything like this...

I doubt they are collecting for Google, but using Google services so they didn't have to create their own makes alot of sense. Of course, that means Google gets the data, but they already have it since you're going to use your phone to maintain your google addiction anyways.
