So basically, M$ has purposely moved $16B to offshore areas in order to reduce their US tax bill by "billions" and are threatening to move the bulk of their operations off of US territory in protest of the current administrations' proposed tax policies regarding businesses.
That's just great. I'm honestly not sure how to feel about this. Anyone else have an opinion they care to share?

Great, let them do it. Then put a tariff on any imported operating systems costing more than $0.01 and get the money back. Pass a law that says that non-US sourced operating systems can't be installed on US Govt computers. Watch the State of Washington collapse as aircraft manufacturing is down and the 41k employees of MS in WA (http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/insi ... mspx#EADAE) disappear.
Any company that does this BS should be punished. They want the benefits of being in the US without the costs. Has a MS employee ever collected unemployement? Social Security? Has MS benefited from US laws, regulations, etc?

Agreed with Elzorro and Snaab.... Levy a tax on them! I just wish I did understand more of it.
