I'm sure it's fast as hell, but my god, it looks riced to heaven.

note to Ferrari (re: winglets on the side of 599xx): I know they're functional but PLEASE stop giving ricers new ideas...

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

In a related story, Ferrari announced today their design team: 16 year old Josh Smith from Boardman, Ohio and some kids he goes to school with that think cars are "neat"

Really fellas? You think the track-day car looks riced-out with all of its functional, carbon fiber attachments??

What do you want your race cars to look like? :? :wtf:

If this were intended to be the ballah-mobile on the latest Yo! MTV Raps episode, I'd be inclined to agree with you... But this is a car that is only being offered to a small subsection of the Ferrari owning public. Methinks it was meant as a track toy for those who've already been through their first Ferrari.

I stand by my statement in light of the limo tint rear window and the black out taillamps

eh, i'm with colin on this one. besides, ricers will copy anything if they think it'll give them more street cred. anything. just not well.

Question of perhaps no consequence - if they were bigger, say the size of dive planes (canards, whatever you want to call them) or the front spoilers on formula 1 cars, would you consider them so "ricey", or is it because they look like they were glued on?

I mostly kinda agree with this practice, except I'd like to see them taking cars like the 360 and 430 ... what did they call that thing? The CS? RS? Looks like the 360 was the Challenge Stradale (again, digging in my Top Gear rubbish bin, so veracity may vary based on Clarkson's whinging). Instead of building the batmobile, they sort of took the Mopar approach: an "R/T" version that is suitable for trackdays and the street.

But, I haven't been through my first Ferrari. I may change my mind afterwards.

F1 cars are more like spaceships than any car I'll ever drive so I don't care what they look like
