have you thought about clipping off the tip of the right index finger from your glove? it's free, less likely to be lost...

Neh, I don't think any of those would be all that great if I get sick of the bike and decide to take up street luge. Sans the skateboard.

Meh... I just ignore the phone whilst on the bike. It's too easy to get dangerously distracted on two wheels.
I have a hard enough time when pretty cars or pretty girls walk/drive by. The last thing I need is a reason to reach for the phone.
Just my .02USD. YMMV.

I was thinking mainly (quite possibly, solely) for mapping and GPS purposes.

The last time a cager almost killed me the only thing I had to throw at him was my phone. I figured I'd have a hard time explaining it to wifey, so I didn't. I think I may start carrying items I feel less bad about dropping on people's hoods.
