it's $1000 because dlp sucks.

however, it's better than nothing, and samsung makes good ish. *pets samsung lcd*

I have a friend who has one of these, it looks great and the DLP sets will do 3D with the polarized glasses if you get the $200 kit. I've always wanted to give that a try.

Pretty much everyone has seen my Samsung DLP. I have no complaints :)

DLP arguments or not... its a big ass TV for not a big ass amount of cash. If you are looking to fill a large chunk of your livng room wall without breaking the bank it might be a good solution.

I have had DLP's in the past and I think that they are just fine. I have a 42" Toshiba LCD now and am loving it...
