DCAWD Meet/Secret Santa Monday 12/15/08 - Hard Times

Post by Sabre »

Hello all,
The next meeting of DC All Wheel Drive will be on Monday, 12/15/08 at 7:15pm. We will be meeting outside for a little while, then going inside to grab some grub! While we are outside, please stay out of the right of ways. No standing in the road and such, just stay in between or in front of the cars :) If hoods open, only leave them open long enough to do your business.

This is the Secret Santa meet. If you would like to participate, please bring a gift in the $10-15 range, otherwise you can watch the rest of us exchange!

Hard Times is located at:
6362 Springfield Plaza
Springfield, Virginia 22150

Link of map: here

Most up to date information found in our forum here.

Let me know if you are coming so that we can try to keep an accurate count.

Note: This is an AWD, we meet no matter what Mother Nature throws at us! Even if you do not have a AWD car, feel free to come!

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

I should be able to make it to a dollar store and grab 10 things to put in a box.

Well, I have a bronchial-sinus infection and I am coughing up some nice grey-yellow jelly. I am going to the doctor today and safe to say I will not be making it tonight (even though I really wanted to come out :( )...don't want to give my sickness as a gift.

That would've sufficed. The graphic depiction, unnecessary. :|

C'mon, this is Will. Laborious unnecessary descriptions of bodily excretions are to be suffered continuously.

Yeah, Chuck! Geez!!!

Unfortunately for me I forgot about a stupid meeting (well, not really that stupid b/c I benefit from it) that I couldn't postpone/reschedule so I ended up having to go to work at 9:30 this morning :( Rescheduled my ebola verification for tomorrow morning. Just have to rough it out. My hands were shaking when I was trying to type an IM...downed some baklava and the glucose helped steady me...at least for a little bit.

On a disinfected note: Does this gift have to be wrapped? That sounds like more work.

lol, I was debating that myself! I have a feeling that it is going to stay in the purchased bag.... It might get some tape to disguise it though. I'm happy since I was able to get something really good on sale so I stayed in budget :)

I'd say wrap it up - that way there's a challenge to the game: do you pick a gift that's already been opened or do you go for a new mystery gift? OOooooooooo....!

As much as I wanted to come, exchange a gift, and celebrate Darrin turning 80; I decided to stay home w/ my infectious ebola...went to the docs this morning before work and it is a sinus-bronchial infection...should have seen the stuff that I coughed up this morning. Yummy...but at least I am on anti-plague drugs now.
