The problem I see for this concept, is that the worst competition for an Aston Martin... is another Aston Martin.
Do I buy the good looking Aston? They all have subtle, curvy architecture that makes them all even harder to tell apart than 911s. That makes conspicuous consumption difficult.
Do I buy the V12 Aston? In which case the DBS V12 and V12 Vantage RS can likely be had for about an eighth of what this will go for (am I mistaken in that it was originally rumored at a million
pounds? so almost twice-a-million-dollar car!)
Do I buy the one that uses aluminum and CF in its construction? Again, thats Aston Martin for ya.
Obviously you have to give your arm from the wrist down to have an Aston. And from there, they require more of your limbs to get the faster and more exclusive ones.
But to me this won't even
look like it is more exclusive, or have performance to justify its rediculous price hike over a Vantage with a V12 shoehorned up front. Its just more difficult to build! Interesting tactic
