bmw owners have suits that resemble drysuits (re: wetsuits, for diving) that plug in to their bikes.zaxrex wrote:How about those cool suits for car racing? Instead of using ice, dump some hot water in there.
You could go real nuts and wrap some copper tubing around the exhaust...Just a thought.
Aaaand our resident mad scientist comes through with another brilliant idea that we would have never thought of on our own.zaxrex wrote:How about those cool suits for car racing? Instead of using ice, dump some hot water in there.

Officer, I know I was going thirty over, but my muffpot is broken and I was really cold! I had to go that fast to retain feeling in my arms! It was for safety's sake officer!complacent wrote:Using the exhaust (and/or it's piping) to conduct heat to the rider. I likes it!
I realized I can reach down with my throttle hand and hold on to the tailpipe today. Waaaaaaarm.avriette wrote: Officer, I know I was going thirty over, but my muffpot is broken and I was really cold! I had to go that fast to retain feeling in my arms! It was for safety's sake officer!
I'm for poly/span, but just because of clearance in the helmet.avriette wrote:Shopping for balaclavas. Anyone have a suggestion? I'm leaning between polyester and merino wool. The poly/spandex ones can be microban treated, whereas I like the feel of Merino a lot more. My concern is clearance inside the helmet and rider comfort. Also getting the RevIt! gloves to replace these godawful Icon's.
edit: been wearing a scarf wrapped around my face/neck, but it impairs my ability to turn my head to check 5, 6, 7 oclock, and it doesn't "stay in place" like I want it to.
i have lots of air running up behind my ears. does this help?complacent wrote:I've also used with great success the neck warmers like this.
Colemans has some of these things, but the prices online are ridiculously cheap by comparison. I think it's time to pick one up. They've even got them with microban.Libra Monkee wrote:I wear something not too different from this. It helps lot and I don't need a new helmet to wear it.
RJ: Grrrrrr.......
