I can certainly say there is something a little off, but this is getting pretty freaking close.
CN: CG animations getting very close to reality.

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

Re: Getting too real?
I think a big part of it is her hand and eye motions. The blinks are not exactly 8 seconds apart, she sometimes double blinks (which seems a bit odd to me, I don't think I've seen anyone do that) and she looks in different directions when asked different sorts of questions. As she moves her head her eyes track with the interviewer or with the blink... amazingly natural motion. Her hand gestures are good to. If I didn't know, from that little bit, the only thing that would have given it away was she never shifted in the chair.

Read a little further. It was in Devil May Cry 4 (I wondered about those amazing graphics), GTA 4 (those cutscenes were amazing) and numerous other games.Cereb Daithi wrote:sweet! .... now put it in a video game

Re: Getting too real?
Somehow didn't see that
Very cool. Can't wait to see where this ends up in 5 years. I think in the immediate future this spells doom for stunt-doubles. There are still a few movie directors that insist on doing all their stunts the old-fashioned way with no CGI... but that's a dying school of thought.
And to think people used to complain about airbrushed models and stunt-doubles doing unrealistic things.
We are starting into a whole new era of fakeness

Re: Getting too real?
Chris Nolan attempted to do every stunt in Dark Knight the "old fashioned way" and while they had to use some CGI, I think it really shows in the final product. CGI is a tool to get a director where he want's to be, not a destination.
that said this sure looks like a big step forward for video games and full CGI movies.
