Redline Time Attack @ Summit Point: Open!
http://www.redlinetrackevents.com/cp/sc ... ategory=46
Registration is open for Redline Time Attack @ Summit Point, 16-17AUG. A bunch of us went out to watch last year, Zak took training the first day, Ross instructed the first day and raced the second... fantastic time. I love seeing 'street' cars whip around that track!
Use this threat to talk about TimeAttack, as far as coordinating people going, what to bring, (aka DCAWDs attendance) etc we'll open a second thread in the Events section in a month or so.

Time attack and AutoX all in the same week? Don't know if the wallet or car can take that much...

Re: Redline Time Attack @ Summit Point: Open!
Hey Hey!
I was just getting ready to post this up on the site, and came across the thread:
Hey everyone!
It's that time of year again for the Redline Time Attack event at Summit Point Raceway!
This year's event is scheduled for August 16th-17th on the Shenandoah circuit. We've been spending alot of time and effort to promote this year's event, much more so than any of the past years. The guys over at DT Motorsports have been helping us out ALOT this year by attending events for us and passing out thousands of fliers to interested enthusiasts.
We've just opened registration for the event:
http://www.redlinetrackevents.com/cp/sc ... ategory=46
The prices this year will be:
Saturday: $200
Sunday: $225
2-Days: $375
Spectator admission will be $15 or $10 by getting one of our fliers or printing the flier off our website.
This year we will have an expanded Vendor Midway and Car Show, an "after party" Saturday night at the track, more media coverage than ever before, Tech Sessions, Spectator Ride Alongs and tons more! Attendance and racer participation increased last year over our first event in 2006, and based on interest on this event, we expect the racer spots to sell out well before the event.
So if you are interested in participating in either the HPDE on Saturday or the Time Attack on Sunday, please register soon. We'd hate to see you miss this opportunity!

This year is going to be a GREAT event! So much more stuff going on and we expect the turnout to be fantastic. We'll actually have a booth setup this weekend at HyperFest to pass out another 5000 fliers.
If you guys have any questions, lemme know. If you want to have an official DC AWD section of the paddock setup, PLEASE let me know, as I'd like to have different clubs have reserved areas in the paddock. I can probably give you guys enough space to park 15-20 cars together. It'll be roped off and we can even have a sign printed and you guys can hang some banners.

Nikolas,
We're *definitely* interested in hosting a booth again this year. IIRC we've still got at least one banner and a decent sized canopy. What kind of heads-up are you going to need (time, number of cars, etc) to get this rolling?

I'm going to begin laying out the paddock area in about 2 weeks.
If I know you guys need 50x60 of space.. or whatever it may be.. the sooner I can block that space off. The paddock is going to be MUCH more packed this year than the previous two years.

Re: Redline Time Attack @ Summit Point: Open!
We're only about three weeks away from the event! It will be here in no time!
There is a TON of buzz surrounding the series now after our stellar event at Auto Club Speedway.
Be sure to spread the word about this event. We want it to be the largest Redline Time Attack event ever hosted outside of California! Last year's Summit Point event was a blast and a big success. With tons of local racers and about 750 paid spectators. It would be great if we could crack that 1000 spectator threshold and get a solid 60-70 competitors to show up.
For those of you who care...... there is a distinct possibility we will have television coverage of this event! Sponsors always like that!

I'll be there both days, If you all want to do something with PTuning, let me know and we can coordinate as well. That way i dont have to walk back and fourth to your tent! I'll be driving the PTuning car, and maybe the vette will make an appearance. I'll be instructing saturday as well, so if you want some help let me know. I might also bring the "new girl" out for this, we'll see if she is in town.

ElZorro,
Shoot me an email:
Nikolas@RedlineTrackEvents.com
I wanted to see if DCAWD would like to have a section of the paddock reserved?
WIth only 3 weeks to go we need to work out the details of this.
