M3 or STI?

Post by bdub »

Okay guys, kinda need some input.

1) Today I test drove a 2004 M3 with 58k and in decent shape... the show room price is 28k.
2) They looked at my car and offered 27k for a trade in (which kinda surprised the hsit out of me)

I love the M3 but i know the sti would be more fun to keep around for awhile.... i'm just kind of torn between the cars right now.... I proly should just say f*ckit and get a geo...

I dig me some M3, but it's your money so it's your call.

All depends on what you want out of a car. Both can be made into potent machines... although I think the M3 will cost you a little more to get there.

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

i think you need to go over your finances with a magnifying glass and consider the m3's maintenance costs, which will be higher than the sti. that said, i refuse to be one of those people who tries to dissuade you from doing what you want to do. 28k for an m3 with that many miles is a lot. but you already knew that. what's going to make you happier? monies aside, that's all that really matters.

all things being equal, i'd go for the m3. :ugh:

27k on a trade-in for your sti   ? *looks at sti in the driveway with dollar sign eyeballs* NO, I LOVE MY CAR.

58k miles on the M3? And they still want 30k? Is there a reason you're looking at trading the STI?

I might be convinced to trade in the STI on a C6 or new M3 (but my wife would kill me) – but on a used M3?

:plusone: here.

But if you can get 27k for your 06 - I'd say jump on it. That'll get you most of the way into an 08.
