Well, I think I've got enough pics in one "sighting" to keep you all satisfied for a while.

It just so happens that whilst getting some lunch at Reston Town Center, I happened to stumble across a Ferrari Club Of America meet.

Let me just say HOLY :censor:

and onto the pics!!

I can't tell from here but the red car in the middle to the left of the black ferrari(below) might be an old coworker's car.

Image

He used to drive it to work on a nice day and drive his mint VR-4 3000GT or his Olds Bravada (w/ ferrari sticker on it) the other days. Ferraris are nice but upkeep/maintenance costs are ridiculous.

Was driving along the turnpike and came up alongside what I found to be a strange Corvette.

It's hard to see with the crappy cell-phone pics (hey I was driving and the camera was in the back seat) but I noticed in big letters across the back "CALLAWAY"

I don't see these very often around here. Also his license plate said "MUST GO" if I remember correctly.

Do we have a Ross sighting here, or just a skilled impersonator?

Does a Saleen/Parneli Jones Limited Edition Mustang count as "rare"? I saw one last week on the beltway in rush-hour traffic - South Carolina plates. Sorry, no pics due to dodging idiots thinking that changing lanes in ~5mph traffic will lead to that "miracle lane" with no traffic.

I saw a Lotus Europa on a trailer heading down 270 towards Frederick. Last week while heading home from work, I saw a Lamborghini Gallardo in bright orange heading down Prince William Parkway. And no, no camera in the car either time. :(

Yesterday I saw a Qvale Mangusta heading in the opposite direction on Route 29. Now that's a rare car!

Saw an Esperante. It was coming towards me on the opposite side on Constitution in DC. I thought it was a Porsche at first, then a closer look showed it was something else and the tail was definitely different!

We were strolling around the streets of Zurich, Switzerland last month on a sunny Sunday afternoon and spotted this yellow Ferrari searching for a parking space.

Clearly this is not a rare car, but one that is relevant to the DCAWD community. This is a Italian Federal Police car.

The 2008 Mille Miglia passed through Florence, Italy when we were there. I explained to my wife that it was simple a coincidence that we were there at the same time. Here are a few cars that were in the event:

Ultima on the way back from Hyperfest:

http://www.ultimasports.co.uk/gtr/index.html

Basically, custom order race car, fully loaded is about $65k, and that's without the engine or transmission.

And they are claiming they are still the fastest car around the track that Top Gear has ever tested.
