iPhone Bluetooth keyboard

Post by ElZorro »

So pretty much everyone with ears and has been at a meet knows the thing I hate about the iPhone is the onscreen keyboard (I've got fat fingers to go with the rest of me). Good news, sounds like there is a Bluetooth keyboard coming out that will be supported:

And it is coming out in March.

I played with one of those a couple years back at CES. The problem I had: my fingers got really sore really quick. With a 'normal' keyboard you have flex and spring in the keys, with the laser version you're drumming your fingers on the desktop and a pretty good speed...

Well I'm not saying I would use the thing to write America's next great novel. But it would be cool to tap out a few quick messages without gumming up screen with fingers covered in the buffalo wing sauce from the night's bar food.

True that. I've seen them proposed for military (chem/bio) and medical use as it is easier to clean a flat surface.

From my failbook just now:
Mar 13 12:58:02 gordon kernel[0]: [ProcessEventData] kBluetoothHCIEventHardwareError occurred, status = 0x28
Mar 13 12:58:12 gordon kernel[0]: [[0x4878000] Req OpCode 0406 from: blued (46) status: 0 state: 2 timeout: 5000.] Bluetooth warning: An HCI Req timeout occurred.
Mar 13 13:03:11 gordon com.apple.launchd[1] (0x10aae0.mdworker[3224]): Exited: Killed
it's overheating despite it having 8" of clearance off the desk (griffin icurve), so it's got as much cooling as it can. so now i get a new logic board, a new keyboard, and a new bluetooth/wireless card.

this, after my 12" ibook suffered heat death eighteen months ago. fucking hate this mac. argh.
