You know, when the first one was cut, my thought was "wow, that will put a dent in their communication", but after the fourth one now, it's more like "which one of the three letter agencies"....

It's actually quite easy ;) Basically bend a fibre till the index of refraction gets to the point that some light escapes and then attach other fibre to that one...

I can't figure out whether it's us doing it or them. It's equally plausible either way, I think.

<taliban IT Pro> Those fucking westerners keep sending those unclean women across the intertubes. Send the Republican Scuba Guard to go sever them fibers, Aziz.

<Langley Infowar Spook> They rely entirely on just N cables to get all their prawns. If we just cut them, they have to come back to the negotiating table or all their haji prawns will be burka'd.

It's a bad situation all around. I've omitted the obligatory Aliens quote here about... nuking places.

I'm ok if all those cables stay cut, for the sake of the internet! I've gotten a lot less spam lately....

this whole thing still smells of something either iran or .. "someone else" is floating to see either how much damage it can/is doing or the public reaction to it.

but then i'm one of the tinfoil hat people. (it just looks like 100% cotton)

I blame the sharks. Those dorsal finned bastards have had it in for us ever since the release of Jaws 2.
