That's a great find. And something worth having investigated. I for one am all for just yanking that useless screen. I'm still shocked that Subaru would have such a useless thing installed. Especially one that has such a high probability of failure that could result in catastophic damage.

I can understand why it's there (little bit's of metal could get into the turbo and weld themselves on to the turbo shaft... as with what happen to me), however, if it does clog, kiss your turbo goodbye!
