Corvette C7 rendering

Post by snaab »

I was just given a tip-off from a friend that new concepts for the C7 are in the works and found this photo

He called it "fugly", but I immediately liked it, which is a first for me with Corvette styling. Thoughts?

i'm really hating that unnecessarily-angular roof design.

and i wish they'd make it look angry and not devilishly smiley.

looks like an interweb hack job, which it is.

I'm all for a mid-engine Corvette but not sure the fanbase is.

There are somethings that the Vette will always be:
1.) A pushrod engine
2.) Front engine, rear wheel drive

That being said, it DOES look Italian, which isn't a bad thing. Personally, I would LOVE a AWD mid-engine vette :)

No, they're natively Italian so I expect that. It'd be the same if they came out with a Ferrari that looks like a Corvette. It's cool, but you're doing it wrong!

I always thought the newer C5-C6 corvette design was Ferrari inspired or looked more like a Ferrari?

And I like this new corvette look. :D I will probably never own a Corvette in my life on this planet...or any other planet for that matter.

you are aware that there have been mid-engine Corvette prototypes for the past 30 years, right? and that the Vette was almost rotory powered? yeah, lots of different turns that it could have made but didn't. again, I'm all for a mid-engined design. I can't afford a C6 as it is why not go all the way?
