135i x (TBE + reflash) = 360HP!

BMW 135i gets Schnitzered: 360 HP ACS1

Like everything else from the propeller people, AC Schnitzer gets a stab at improving BMW's products before they're even released to the masses. The formula is the same for the new 135i, boosting power output of the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six to 360 HP and 332 lb.-ft. of torque, while simultaneously dropping the 0-60 time to under five seconds and increasing the top speed to 186 mph. The additional power is found with the installation of a new exhaust and some clever ECU tweaks, while the suspension has been replaced with the firm's sports setup that was tuned on the Nurburgring's North Loop by touring car hot shoe Manfred Wollgarten.

The body kit, comprised of a new front spoiler, side skirts, rear wing and roof mounted spoiler, supposedly do wonders for high velocity hoonage, while a set of 19x18.5-inch Type IV "BiColor" wheels wrapped in 225/35R19 rubber keep things planted at speed. Naturally, the interior benefits from a few choice pieces of trim in either aluminum or carbon fiber.

All the details are in the press release after the jump and you can check the gallery below for a handful of high-res images.

After seeing what's been done with the 335, I knew the 135 would be a hot ticket!

I think the 135i is a performance BARGAIN!

Shiv at Vishnu Tuning ran a 12.399 @ 116.8 MPH 1/4 mile with a tuned 335i (procede piggyback ecu and exhaust) and Edmunds was able to go 0-60 in 4.4 seconds on one of their tests with the stage 1 Vishnu car (just procede no exhaust).

To give you an idea how fast that is, Car and Driver tested the new M3 and got 0-60 in 4.3 and ran a 12.8 @ 113 1/4 mile.

Also, the M3's curb weight is 3,571 lbs. and BMW claims the 1 series will weigh 250-300lbs less than the 3 series coupe, which is around 3,500. So you can get an idea just how fast a modified 135i would be!

And all for an estimated price below $35,000

Throw in $2,665 the Vishnu stage 1 kit which includes:
Vishnu PROcede-Tuning System
Plug-and-Play Harness
(no wire cutting!)
C-Reader Diagnostic Tool
Vishnu BMW Catback Exhaust

And that is well under the $70,000+ you can expect to pay for a new M3!

See the thing that wasn't clearly pointed out to you (since you are new to Subarus) is that Subaru doesn't have an inline 6, they have a boxer H6 engine. Subaru only makes opposing boxer engines, FYI.

Subaru = boxer and AWD, at least outside of Japan for the near future.

I love an I6 but I'd rather see Subaru produce a mid-engine twin turbo flat 6 powered sports car along the lines of the R8. not that I could ever afford one, but it would be a hell of a halo car.

now, back on topic: I want a 135i, maybe in a few years my salary will go up and the inevitable dealer mark-ups will go down.

That would be hAwt! Though I would imagine that Subaru would consider the STI their halo car and therefore no need for your dream car.

Oh, and yeah I'd like a 135i as well.

I'm putting 308 whp (translates to about 380 crank hp) on 215s without any serious traction issues (granted AWD helps).
