Portal just keeps getting better. I'll probably finish it tonight. I won't say more in case anybody reading this that hasn't played it picks it up. excellent stuff.

I *finally* got to see a little Portal action last night. Very cool concept. I dig it.

Made it to the end of Portal last night
There is no delicious cake
. Didn't beat it though. Haven't tried the other games yet. Still trying to get Goldeneye Source to work.

OH! With the miniguns, it's cool if you can get them to shoot each other.

Just blasted through portal in 1 hour 19 minutes. Granted it was easier since having played through it once I knew what to do. need portal 2. thanks.

It's funny how interesting it is to compare minds. A software-application programmer buddy of mine took 3 agonizing days to get through it. He said he was pulling his hair out the whole time while I made it through in one evening with only a few hangups (mostly me misjudging things and dying). Guess that whole left-brain right-brain thing realy kicks in with this sort of game huh? (there is a reason why he can run circles around me with math)

For those of us too cheap to go out and buy the game (and a platform to run it on), there is a Flash Version. Can anyone comment on how similar this is to the real version?

I mean as far as the concept goes. Really, its similar in name only?

name and stripped-down/barebones concept similarities aside, the 2 are nothing alike.

Yeah it shares the concept.... not much past that though. It can't allow for some of the more complex puzzles due to the fact that you can't "Look into the portal"

I love the fact that (i'll try to avoid spoilers) before that thing after test 19 happens, there's a gigantic clipart of cake on the wall before you round the corner. I guess she wasn't lying about the cake...sort of...

i love the 360 achievements: cupcake for completing 2 bonus levels; fruitcake for completing 4; super-awesome fudge vanilla cake (paraphrasing here, I can't remember the exact wording) for competing all of them.

EDIT: when I entered "valve" it kicked me to a page that is blocked here at work. :x

The UIN that they show as yours changes every 5 seconds or so... I ended up on a screen that said people were coming to get me

1)At the "ADMIN prompt" type "HELP" for a list of possible commands.

2)The "VALVE" command seems to exit the system and take you to your browser's start page.

I don't think mine was changing, just flashing... yea, got the people coming to get you message too. Unfortunately, I think they intended it to be creepy, but I took it as good news!
