buy the orange box. play.
btw, if anyone wants a copy of just hl2, i have an extra one. when you buy the orange box, it comes with hl2. since i already HAD hl2, it gives me the option to "donate" my second copy. stupid valve.

Yep, I'll be grabbing the Orange Box as well and will have a "free" copy of HL2 to give away since I already owned it
Portal looks NUTS.

portal *is* nuts, dude. i seriously considered coming into work late so i could finish it. it is REALLY short, but it's fun. i finished 17 of 19 levels (not including the bonus levels) before work this morning, but it was a trip, and a few of them i got lucky on. it has a metric ton of mod potential.

Great to hear
I'm guessing they will release level packs for it. Is there multiplayer in it? I would think if they added some weapons it would be incredible for multiplayer.

actually, you won't like medic in tf2. it's pretty lame.
soldier, sniper, demoman, hwguy... oontz. medic is relegated to healing teammates and lethal injections. no grenades (conc or frag) in tf2. lame at first but i don't really miss them, other than conc jumping.

Rented it last night for the 360
Beat portal in an evening (man talk about lateral thinking... or rather... lateral, longitudinal, dimensional, and just about every other type of thinking) And I now have the weighted companion cube as my background and the ending song "still alive" playing right now
Beat episode 1 this morning, and I'm sitting at the repair shop in episode 2 at the moment.
I'd say they are a huge improvement over the original HL2 which didn't really impress me at all.

some of my favorite from all the games
Vort wrote:"Grim pinata"
Magnusson wrote:...I might even forgive you for that debacle at Black Mesa - a certain microwave casserole..
Griggs: bye Freeman and be adequate
Checkley: what the hell does that mean
Griggs: I don't know sounded like something the vorts would say
Vort wrote:"What did the Freeman expect to find down there?"
"Truly, the Freeman leaves no path unexplored."
"No pit would be complete without a Freeman climbing out of it."
