went to the dealarship in herdon VA for my 60,000 mile mainnentce they aresaying it may be around 800 bucks sadly i ddint know where else to go and i know its one of the major ones need in the car (04manual xt) damn thats alot they gave me a rental for free for the day (06/07 base model forester) what do you all think about that and did i just really get owned in terms of cost

You did not just get owned. The 60K service is expensive no matter where you go simply because it is so extensive.
Mine was roughly that much from Beyer Subaru in Alexandria. As long as you trust the service department then you should be fine.

you probably didn't get pwned. might have done some of it yourself to save a little cash, but that can be difficult in the city. free loaner? that's cool.

I know this is kinda old...but we do 60Ks for $350 right now...sorry I'm a little late.

Not exactly what I meant. I have another 30K before I reach 60K but, SWEET! I'll probably be seeing you in the Spring then.
