QFTThis is why office jobs make so many of us miserable; we don't get any physical, tangible result from our work. But do construction out in the hot sun for two months, and for the rest of your life you can drive past a certain house and say, "Holy shit, I built that." Maybe that's why mass shootings are more common in offices than construction sites.
one big reason I want to own a house again is because I miss doing carpentry work.

I love carpentry work and even though you hate it at the time, at the end you always (okay, most often) enjoy the finished product.
Here's a truth, a carpenter's house is never complete. There is always one or more started projects that never get finished

But yeah, it is great that the non-physical, anti-social, behind the scenes job is always going to generate the most depressed persons. Especially if you have a boss/manager that takes all the credit for your work or the work of many...which happens A LOT.

eh, i derive satisfaction from doing I.T. work. i can point to several servers, switches, etc. and take pride in that they function because of me. that's why my marketing degree is collecting dust behind my dresserMr Kleen wrote:QFTThis is why office jobs make so many of us miserable; we don't get any physical, tangible result from our work.
