Wow Gabe....that's it??? I was really hoping for a rave review of this one (been dying to see it) and you're relegating it to "wait for the DVD?" I thought it seriously had "make you piss yourself in the movie theater" potential. Especially if you liked Knocked Up better. I mean, I dug Knocked Up but figured that this one would blow it away.
comedy translates pretty well to the small screen. don't get me wrong, I really liked the movie, but it's not a MUST SEE NOW!!1! sort of thing. catch it when you can.
Too true on the comedy translating to the small screen thing as well. In reality, I think there are actually not *that* many movies that MUST be seen on a big screen. Obviously, the huge budget special effects bonanzas and such (and yes...I did just use the word "bonanza") but other than that there's not too much that the big screen does for a comedy or a drama or whatnot. Unless you count the communal factor and whatnot....but 9 times out of 10 I just find the other people around me annoying.
I will have to catch this one in the theater though, if for any reason other than I just don't want to wait for the DVD.

This is becoming worse and worse for me... Every theatre no matter the time we go to see a movie is getting bad about people staying quiet, kids kicking seats etc. etc.

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.
I went and saw it. It was hilarious, in a slightly sophmoric, but altogether well composed movie. The acting was good too, surprisingly. I've never seen a more accurate portrayal of awkward teenagers.
