Take a good look at his AFRs beyond 5,000 RPMs. The Accessport is running the car CRAZY rich! Just imagine what that LGT will put down once it's tuned properly! He's going to get 300whp & 300ftlbs with just a few modifications and very little expense.
Finally got that tune last Saturday.
It was done by the same guy scheduled for the P-tuning Dyno Day that got cancelled.
After one week, I decided to share my thoughts on how well Zippper is currently running.
Power:
Low end response and torque have got to be way up.
Grade: A+
Cooling:
Heat soak is coming much faster with the leaner mixture, or else it is just more noticeably dogged when hot. Get moving at 45mph+ and response picks back up again.
Grade: C+
Fuel mileage:
Absolutely through the roof. During a Friday rush-hour trip to work and a lunchtime trip home, I maintained my typical driving style of consistently being either the fastest or equal to the fastest car in the left lane, never the slowest, and merging for position at lights when necessary. Yet there was definitely nothing to attract the Schutzstaffel during my commute. Probably a typical tuner's daily driver behavior when not side-by side with a potential kill.
I checked my mileage monitor after this trip, which was the only distance that I logged:
Distance Traveled: 24.1 miles
AVG MPG: 29.4
A 4-5 MPG improvement over what I would typically get pre-tuned under similar conditions.
Grade: A++++ . . . Bonus!:ya: . . . Level Up!:plusone: . . . Killing Spree!:bfg:
In addition, I watch the Current MPG setting on my dash often, and 35-40 pure highway is about the range I have seen thus far. No real logged trip yet though.
Now I just need to re-visit MachV to see if I'm running at higher HP/tq.
Overall grade: A
