Apple Pippin?

Post by Sabre »

I had never heard of this, but saw it mentioned in an article I was reading. Interesting that Apple tried to enter the console market at some point. Makes me think of the Newton :(

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

And of this. My K-thru-8 school was a pilot school for these. Even then I wondered what person would pay $800 for it.

The mere fact that someone has heard of it, much less used one, amazes me.

Yeah my school must have been one of the test-sites for them as well. They were truly amusing to me. The screens were the most dreadful part about them.

I also seem to remember them running disturbingly hot.

Had a bunch of teachers that were given 'Mates, but nothing ever came of them...

And I've never heard of the Pippin... but a $600 consol 10+ years ago would have been insane, no matter how much you try to say its really a computer.

You know what, I could make a comment about a guy who virtually disappears for 'x amount' of months and then comes back trying to get smart with people. But I think I'll keep that little tidbit to myself.
