watched "Amazing Factories" last night on National Geographic HD: it was the Ferrari factory.
it's an amazing factory. they spend a few hours hand finishing the sand molds for the block and heads before individually casting them with a secret aluminum alloy. and that's just the beginning... I copied it to the DVR if anybody is interested in checking it out.

there's about 30 hours of handywork in the interior of a 599 (the car that was the focus of the show). the system that cuts the leather patters was super cool. hell, EVERYTHING was super cool about the factory!
